Before the racks were lined with Romeos and holsters and high-end glass…

Before anyone ever asked for “the usual”…

There was just an idea, a basement, and a whole lot of grit.

Back in 2012, Razorback Armory was more dream than storefront. We operated small, behind-the-scenes, with a passion for firearms and a vision for something bigger. It wasn’t until August 14, 2015, that we officially opened the doors to our brick-and-mortar shop in Des Peres, Missouri. We remember the day like it was yesterday—because in many ways, that was Day One of everything we were building from the ground up.

From a Basement to a Building

Finding the right location was a turning point (mostly because we could finally move out of Brad’s basement). That first shop space meant more than just a physical address—it meant Razorback Armory was real. It meant we could serve this community face-to-face and start growing something lasting.

We didn’t have fancy fixtures or even a full wall of product yet. But what we did have was a clear vision, and customers who believed in us from the very start.

Let’s just say the beards were shorter, the shelves were lighter, and the excitement was sky-high.

Our First Merch Drop (And a Logo Inspired by a Favorite Team)

One of the earliest milestones was our first Razorback Armory shirt—simple in design, but bold in meaning. That logo (maybe slightly inspired by one of our favorite sports teams…) became a symbol of who we are: loyal, unapologetic, and committed to doing things right.

We still remember the feeling of seeing someone wear that shirt out in the wild for the first time.

A Decade of Community

The very first giveaway? August 28, 2015. The walls were fresh, and the community was just beginning to grow. That giveaway kicked off a Razorback tradition that’s still going strong—because giving back has always been part of our DNA.

Behind the scenes? Let’s just say a lot of long days and late nights made this all happen. Brad, Jesse, and the rest of the crew put in the work—every order, every display, every firearm that made it to the floor. This shop was built by hand and by hustle.
