In 2005, Smith & Wesson introduced a new polymer pistol line for law enforcement. This series was called the Smith & Wesson M&P and has expanded to include upgraded designs and accessories. Smith and Wesson M&P
The original Smith & Wesson M&P features a polymer-crafted body. Smith & Wesson offers the classic M&P pistol as both a full-size model and a compact model. Choose the full-size M&P pistol in one of four caliber options: 40 S&W, 45 automatic, 9 mm, and 10 mm. Each model also includes unique specs for barrel length, sights, safety, and other features. A steel barrel is standard.
Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm Shield
The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield series features a convenient micro-compact design. The Shield also is available in an M2.0 series, the Shield Plus series, and the Shield EZ series. Smith & Wesson explains that the EZ is simpler to fire because of an internal hammer-firing design.
Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0
What is the M&P 2.0? This series in the M&P lineup is technically known as the M&P M2.0. These pistols feature upgraded designs to the trigger, grip, and other features. The M2.0 debuted in 2017.
Smith and Wesson M&P 15
The M&P 15 includes three series of long guns: the M&P 15 Volunteer, the M&P 15-22, and the M&P 15 Sport III. All guns in the 15 series are designed as AR-15 automatic rifles.
